I'm not looking for one but I do follow small town/village ideas. This may be a little too upscale for what people are looking for but there are some good ideas.

I wasn't pointing it out as a homesteading location per se. They have obviously looked into how to make a village their way. I came across it from an add for an organic farm manager. Evidentially the town controls the farm so they can have it farmed for their benefit.

I have no idea if those prices are reasonable. Around here tract homes on smaller lots sell for $400-900K with the median around $450.

One thing they seem to have done is to decide what stores go where then sell them. It is one way to keep them local since there is no room for box stores within the town.
