My grandmother (who has good and bad days) sent me a package last week... in it was a bible that is very special to our family. Bless her heart, she didn't know UPS's reputation, and the package was supposed to be here Friday. She has lost the tracking number, and I cannot find a phone number.
    Little help?

If you can find where she sent it from (UPS store or other location) they have the ability to track the package......you might check UPS online...I know that is how I track my business packages, but I am not sure you can do anything without the tracking number......

I am not sure Customer Service number will do much better without some information......thus, I would start with the location where she shipped it from.

I guess I don't know their reputation either! I always have better luck with them than with USPS.

Good luck tracking down the package. They should be able to help you somehow.

Thanks all... got hold of a girl (rude little thing, tho) who "couldn't help me"... but Grandma found the number, and the package didn't go out till this morning. Sigh.

Now, to reason with the cantankerous Grandmother... :p

I always thought they had a great reputation. In fact, if I wanted to get somewhere "for sure", I'd follow a UPS deliveryperson that was going there before using any other navigation method.

DH uses UPS for his business deliveries. They have a good reputation as far as I'm concerned. Just need to teach Grandma about tracking numbers.

The only problems I have ever had with UPS was at the sender end. They scan the tracking number in, then don't call UPS for 3 or 4 days, so you think its on the way but it is sitting at their loading dock. Those tracking numebrs are great, and I always get my packages when the website says I will.

Did grandmother forget to send it, or do you think it was held up by the weather?

Just so you know, next time you need an 800 number - you can call information at 1-800-555-1212.

Thanks all; just heard so many bad delivery stories about UPS in this area... perhaps it's just a certain office or something.

Package arrived last night, hurray! She's still ready to get after them tho. :hobbyhors

Always, ALWAYS, ALWAYSkeep your tracking number! I can't tell you the number of times I've picked a package out of a dropbox, and it still has the customer copy still on it! If there's a problem, we can't find it without that number!

The average person has no inkling of HOW many packages we ship overnight.

Judy<--DHL, but all shipping works off that tracking number...
