I'm just curious as to some what the standard (if there is such a thing) is in the business world for imaging software.

I haven't had a lot of experience doing this and though I'd try and become at least passably good with it.

I think the closest you will find to a standard will be PhotoShop. It has become a verb meaning to edit a photo. Photoshop is on the pricey side, most people can get buy with Paintshop Pro (I think it is around $100).

Imaging is a pretty broad term, but photoshop is the commercial standard everyone shoots at. GIMP is a nice open-source version.

guess I should have been more specific :p

I mean disk imaging. Such as ghosting a drive.

I agree Photoshop is the way to go.

I use acronis true image.
