Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the speed of the reel on an IHC combine? Maybe someone would know where i can get this information. The reel that brings the material into the cutting head and auger rotates too slowly. Any suggestions?

If the reel is belt drive it may have adjustable pulleys. By closing the width of the drive pulley and opening the reel pulley the drive pulley gets a larger diameter and the reel pulley gets a smaller diameter speeding up the reel.

Thanks Uncle Will in In. Unfortunately this combine has a chain drive. Hubby is now building a bit larger sprocket. Actually rebuiding, built it last night and it worked great for a while but something happened to it this morning, not sure what, anyway it is back to the drawing board for now.
