...that if she kidded in this weather her babies would be named SLEET and SNOW.

....she wasnt due until Sunday but for the first time in 5 yrs or more we have ice and sleet and everything is white and freezing cold, so she could pass up the opportunity to kid last night. 1 am!!!

Well, hubby says "Little John" would be a cute name for the boy, so the girl is Snow I guess. LOL  :baby04: :)
Here they are in their coats which looked so tiny until I put them on! They are practically swallowed up by them. Why is it that Boer babies never need any extra warmth but my dairy babies are wimps? They were really shivering. What a night to be born!!

Have to say, Lamanchas have never really been my thing (ears, where are the EARS?!) but those two are just adorable! I wouldn't have been able to put them down long enough to take a picture, so cute!

My nephew says "How about Little John and Robin Hood?" :p

These are our first purebred LM babies, and they are even more adorable than last years Nubian/LM babies. I agree with you Jen - too cute to put down! We've been out in the barn fifteen times today "just to make sure they are warm and nursing well". LOL - I think everyone knows we're really sneaking in some kisses and cuddles.

If one is a buck & the other a doeling, then i would think Little John & Maid Marion more appropreiate. :)

    Yeah, you're right! :)

We had our second set of kids born this morning. Nubian/LM cross this time. It's amazing what kind of beautiful colors they can come up with when they are crossbred or boys or BOTH! I'll post pics later.

    YOU STOP IT RIGHT NOW.
I have goat fever badly enough, and the pictures of all these sweet little babies are not making things any better. :grump: Hmmph.
I swear, the fair is coming... I don't know HOW I'll resist then, if I'm melting over mere pictures now...

I got to thinking about it and Clucky, Maid Marian's lady-in-waiting (from the disney cartoon) might be an even better choice. That way Robin would not get his heart broken.
