Going to get a couple of weanling/feeder pigs in a few weeks for the freezer. I'm trying to figure out how many bags of hog feed it will take to raise one to butcher weight. Now the oinkers will be getting supplemental goats milk, hay, table scraps, and all kinds of excess fruits and vegetables in the spring and summer months when I can't keep up with the garden's production. Not taking all of that into account, how much should I roughly forecast needing in hog feed. The feed i'll be guying is ground locally at a mill and comes in 100-pound bags; it's a fine ground feed.
