There are two things to concider.
The pipe needs a certain amount of height for the smoke to build up momentum and draw air through the stove and out of the trailer.
You also need to be above the turbulence the trailer causes in the air moving over the trailer so that air doesn't happen to be trying to go down at the same spot your stove smoke is trying to come up.
