I'm a sheep meat breeder, and I have been for many years. I have Katadhin American Blackbelly herd and I had some bottle babies last year that are oddly bonded to me and I want to make sure they're okay when they lamb.

I heard that walking pregnant animals can help their birthing process, is this the same for sheep? My sister and I took them on a slow, short walk yesterday and I was wondering if it would hurt to repeat that process? I can't find anything on google so here I am!

Thanks!

Are they not out grazing the pasture with the rest of the herd? Like Alice said they need to stay active. Delivery issues follow lazy over fed mothers.
