I Did It !

    Well I'm leaving in a few days for a beautiful valley in east Tennessee to close on a hundred year old farmhouse on about an acre and a half of flat rich usable soil. House is about 90 percent restoredand has a deep well with plenty of water.Also has several hundred feet of frontage on a beautiful stream. I had the good fortune of having two houses in Florida and from the proceeds of selling one I will be able to pay cash for the Tennessee place. After numerous close calls from hurricanes the last few years, and seeing the terrible experiences of other people. I decided that living in a F.E.M.A. trailer was not for me. If the big one comes bearing down on me I'm outa here. Will be staying in Florida a few more years as wife is not ready to retire. Will spend vacations there and get it ready for permanant living in a few years. Ive got plenty of space for a huge garden and a small orchard. I'm going to see if I can find a few acres of woods nearby to use as a woodlot. Wife and I are both excited about new adventure.

    what part of east tn will you be in? i think it's one of the prettiest places in the world.
