Mine did pretty good except the wind blew down my trellis. I managed to save about 25 or 30 sponges. Planning to build a stronger trellis this year. Eddie

I had so many from the year before I was only lukewarm and for my laziness only got a few vines and no fruit. Whatever was not watered here this summer did not prosper.

I got quite a few.

When is a good time to peel them out? I peeled some, but it seemed that they might not be dry enough, because the skin stuck to the insides. I quit peeling them and put them up on wire the air dry in the barn. Is this correct or do I just have a bad harvest?

I also think I bougth the wrong variety - Thai Bonanza Loofah (Baker Creek). What is the best type for sponges?
