...does it take to get a goat drunk? I've scored a big box full of drops from under someones tree. They've been frozen a couple times, and must be starting to ferment just a little.

Well, I don't know, but I'd suggest you only give them a few at a time and spread it out over several days.

Goats can get drunk off of apples? Hmmm maybe that is why Clara likes them so much ;). :buds: :buds:

Its not the fresh apples that do it. Frozen or aging Apples I think start to ferment...

Yep. Them's the ones. If they hadn't frozen (and thawed, repeatedly) and aged some, I might not have gotten such a good deal on them.

So far so goo though. How would you recognize a slight buzz in a goat? She's not falling down drunk though.

Fawn was a beer drinker....she'd nudge and lick if you brought one to the barn...we would give her a 12 ounce can once in awhile...she never staggered...just smiled and burped :D

Seriously per goat not more than 4 apples or else she could be charged with PBD...Public Barnyard Drunkeness....of course 4 apples per hour and she might just be the life of the barnyard party.....no stumblin' to the milkstand now ya hear!

My cousins cats were drinking beer that had spilled on the floor, they seem to like Bud more than Bud light though. Hmm.

Have I mentioned that her name is Hefeweisen? (For those unfamiliar, it's an unfiltered German wheat beer.) She and her Jacob ewe lamb sidekick seem to be enjoying the apples.

No signs of public drunkenness, although I think she's in heat and due to go see a young buck by the name of Olivander (named for the wand man in H. Potter).
