I am taking care of a friend's adult rabbits while he is gone. Only one rabbit has a heated water dish and, although a room heater is running, the other water dishes freeze solid from evening feeding to the morning feed. The weather service has issued a winter storm warning for us tonight and my best guess is that it will take us until noon to get over to his house.

Now I don't know how quickly the water freezes in that building but say it freezes by midnight, will going 12 hours without water cause any damage? If so, I can see if I can make any other arrangements but hopefully they will be ok.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

They will be ok. I water twice a day and make sure they drink their fill. Especially nursing does and does with litters.

Thanks Tracy! I'll be sure to go over tonight and make sure they have fresh water. None of them are pregnant and there are no babies.
