When is it getting too late in the year to get some bees? I have really been wanting to get some. I am in North Arkansas, as you can see to the left.

Depending on where you get them and how you get them, anytime during the spring, summer, fall.

If you want to extract a hive out of a wall or catch a swarm then the cost will be free and available during the above mentioned seasons. If you buy them then they start to become harder to buy in late june or so(depending on the supplier)

Since you are living down south where bees are raised, why don't you do a google on apiaries and your state? Could be that you could go down and pick up a package.
