Even with copyright protections, all files can be burned, with the proper programs... meaning probably "not" with the finicky program that's included with Windows.

I've got a dozen different variations of Nero, and some other burning programs, and have never had problems burning any file. If you can get on your hard drive, you can get on a cd or dvd. Now, I do have some password protected pdfs, that WILL copy, and they'll remain protected on the cd/dvd, until I enter the password.

google Nero and you can get free basic burning programs... or just google free cd/dvd burning programs.
