Do Hosta seeds bear true to type? I have the chance at some seeds, but have seen some comment that the plants will not resemble their parents.

no. they will have the genes of both male and female parts. The only way to get them true is to divide-or tissue culture - which requires a clean lab. division is more practical and can be done twelve months of the year.

I went with the plants, JIC since I wasn't sure.
