anyone try this natural form of curbing appetite. Apparently hoodia is from a succulent desert plant that has been known for centuries by african desert people to curb appetite. There is also a tea available with this extract.
    Does it help?

I have a friend who takes a hoodie sucker a half an hour before a meal- with a glass of water. After a week she has lost 4 lbs.

Does it work  or is she just full from drinking the water?? Who knows
but 4 lbs is 4 lbs.

BTW The sucker were expensive. I think she got 100 sucker for $134.00US.

In the pill form it works for maybe the first week and a half. I would imagine the tea would be more effective. My understanding is that when we take it in pill form, it has to go to the stomach and be digested. The natives chew the roots or leaves which sends the herb directly into their blood stream. I guess it loses something in the digestion.
