Does anyone know if you could make a homemade hobble, instead of buying one? This morning while milking my 2 does, the one put her foot in the bucket, AFTER I milked the first one. *Gr* Oh I was mad. :grump:

I made one by taking two small cat collars-they were still too large so I tied a knot in the middle of each one-and attached them together by the "license tag" hooks with an "s" shaped hook. It worked ok for my Saanen doe who also stuck her foot in the bucket a few times when I got her! Now she stands still and I don't have to use them.
I also have a friend that took a fleece lined dog collar and attached a leash to it. She put the collar on the near leg and her foot on the leash while she milked. It worked well for her.

I use a curb strap from one of my horse bridles.
