Question. Do hickory trees only produce every other year? Mine produced last year, but I have yet to see many this year. Thanks

Ours usually produced annually, but the size of the crop varied.

Like any mast crop they have bumper years and slow years probably to keep the squirlls/nut eating animals from growing their population accordingly every year and devouring them all, A bumper crop every few years allows plenty of seed to grow.
