Over the past couple of days there have been 3 separate threads concerning GMO foods ( and seeds ). Many folks here seem concerned over this issue. I thought this list of which companies use GMO ingredients ( and which don't ) would be a good resource for those wanting to avoid GMO foods.

This same info is embedded in the links library. Thank you but we are aware of this.

Thanks Hunter-Gatherer, I never check the links area so this was new to me & IMO is a great addition considering the number of recent threads on the subject. :)

Moopups, When you say that " we are aware of this " are you speaking for everyone on the Homesteading Today Forum? Just because you are aware of the information that I posted certainly doesn't mean that everyone is.

I would imagine that the majority of the people here are not even aware of the existence of a "Links Library".

I don't think it to be an infraction of the rules for me to post a link that has been posted before.

Since you are the one that has posted this link before, You obviously have an interest. Jump in and say something relevant to the topic!

links? Well I'll have to check those out now.

Our electric company mails us this little magazine every month or so... mostly just advertisements, but has some helpful stuff in it. They have one section of random trivia each time... This past issue stated that "approximately 70% of all processed foods in the US grocery stores contain bioengineered ingredients."
We do our best to stay far away from processed foods in general... but this was still something I almost wish I hadn't read.[IMG]

Thanks for bringing this up though, it is nice to have a list to look at.

Thanks, I appreciate this link, too!

And thanks to you to, Moopups! I also wasn't aware of the links section and will now be checking it out for other informative links.

Apoligies if I offended anyone, but for me its just standard to check out an entire set up, not limited areas. Just the way I am put together these days.

Thanks for the link. For me I have a slow dial up so checking out all the sticky and links that are posted there just takes up too much time. There are a lot of stickies and it would take all day for me to go through them. LOL

I'm wondering if there are any other sites out there like that as this one isn't as up to date and complete as I'd like to see.
It is very nice being able to see that list though. I wish I could afford spending more time and money at the health food stores around here.

I'm bumping this back up as I think this is so important for everyone to read. We are eating foods that have not been tested over any length of time and who knows what it is doing to our bodies.

    Thanks Irene,

I was not aware of this. I have often wondered about it.
