May be grass tetany if they have been grazing new grass . You would need calcium and magnesium injectable. Good luck

we have magnesium caps for people we gave him is that good?
A vet should be able to sell you the injectable solution, or if you know any other livestock people they may have some on hand, If you only have the tablets as an option, then I suggest dissolve it in warm water with some calcium (Tums) and use a syringe to get the lamb to swallow
How old is it?
bout' 5 wks. I gave him magnesium supplements in water through a syringe
Has it had any vaccinations?
Hes having constant seizures right now and is not reacting much
I don't know the lamb's status at the moment, but it sounds like Polioencephalomalacia. I'd treat with thiamine and B complex.

Agree. You can get injectable B vitamins at the feed store. That will help until you can get B 1 from a veterinarian.
@b3rnad3tt3, what's the lamb's status today?
He died 4 hours later last night. I gave him everything I could but I think we found him in the field too late. it was prolly vitamin b or grass tetany. both are likely seeing as they were rotated pastures and a few days back he also recently recovered from frothy bloat. We were also beginning to wean him so I think all those factors added. I'll go to the farm store and stock up on supplements and vitamins so that next time I'll be ready. Thank you all for answering and giving advice, it's greatly appreciated.

Wean? I haven’t ever had lambs. Goat kids are weaned at 12 weeks or so. Interesting!

Yeah, that is interesting.

Are these hair or wool sheep? I usually leave mine on the ewes until they're about 4 or 5 months old. Even bottle feeding, I go at least 3 months.

Are you bottle feeding or...?
I am bottle feeding, I buy Manna and Dumor milk as they have extra probiotics for weak lambs. And these are a mixed breed hair sheep (Dorset, American Blackbelly and Katahdin is my guess?). Also, they are not my sheep, me and my family help a farmer who owns them (bout' 80-90 heads?) he uses them for meat. weaning time changes depending on the lamb, about the age this lamb was almost 10 weeks old( I confused him with another lamb) but he was in a group of 4 so we started weaning them around the same time. depending on grass growth and how the lamb is we can get away with weaning although sometimes we still bring them a bottle every other day just to make sure they're getting important supplements and calories.
