Blue exhaust indicates oil burning, white exhaust indicates water in the fuel; either can happen via condensation; the water vapors cause beadlets to form in the compression area, between the rings and cylinder walls. Try an oil change and new fuel but know that a toy generator is not going to hold up to 8 hours per day service, only an exspencive diesel generator will do that, which is rated about 5 times above your useage of electricity. A big engine can loaf, a small one runs its heart out and will die soon.
