could have been a reaction to the meds, or he could have been a weak baby.Sorry for your loss.
sounds a little like maybe a minerial defecny . did you give BO SE at birth? just wondering, and trying to help. I would take him to a vet, and have him do a check. Then you would know for sure. again, sorry for your loss.

howdy...we dont have vets round here that tend goats and for that reason I am attending school soon to be an animal care specialist..just waiting on all the paper work to come thru....I thought about a reaction and gave eppi but I guess it didnt work..bo se no I dont give at birth...recon I should try it.....after the tremors and all stopped and he died I picked him up and he felt well broken inside[I was once a medic]...yesterday morning I noticed all the goats had gathered in a very small spot and check on the baby he was laying down...I wonder now if one of the other goats didnt step on him...I know my one doe kept attacking him so we seperated them....I thought about doing a necropsy myself but dont think I could cut him being he is mine[like a child]...I am pretty sure he had a few broken ribs but could only feel that after he passed and he went limp....The rest of the herd is doing well....Thanks for advice will try SO BE at birth with my next kidds due any day now....Dale Anne

it sounds like it might be neurological- something like encephalitis, that attacks the nervous system- seizures, neck back, crying out. if it comes up again in another one, try some antibiotics. if i am not mistaken someone on here had something similar with their piglets, and the penicillin cleared it up.

    sorry about your loss.
