I'm looking to replace some old fashioned apple trees. There were several old trees growing down by the feed lot when I inherited the house. They were in very bad shape and though I tried to grow some cuttings I didn't manage to get any going before the trees died. Now, twenty years later, I'd love to find an old fashioned heirloom apple tree. Am willing to trade what have you...

I've a number of pretty Carolina Allspice, iris, day lillies, and Rose of Sharon.
I knit and quilt small items, and would trade something like that as well.

I have about 30 different apple trees here at my house, What kind do you want? I have a yellow Transparent that everybody loves, and many cooking apples, Are you wanting to plant this spring, or in the fall? Mine are all heirloom. Let me know and I will see what I can do for you.

Maine apples are northern varieties. Most apples won't grow in South Carolina. There are certain old heirloom varieties that will grow down there; I can research a list.
