I took my 5 and 6 year old grandchildren with me to visit my parents in a 'bigger city'.

Last evening their Parks and Rec department featured a "movie on the hill" in the park right behind my folk's house.

Started our with games for the kids-------like "Duck, Duck, Goose" ..........and at dusk the movie started.

So picture this--------------
HUGE hill with a band shell at the bottom with a BIG screen.........maybe 30 X 30 feet.

You spread your blanket anywhere on the hill.
(Surprisingly there are no mosquitoes.)
You sit there with your "snacks" and the wonderment of a 5 and 6 year old.
And you watch "Curious George" as the stars shine overhead, and the very orange moon rises in the north east sky.

A perfect night!

There is a family in my neck of the woods that has a white two story house and they have movie night every Saturday night for the neighborhood. They show the movies on the side of the house. Great way to get the neighbors acquainted. Everyone gathers in the side yard with their blankets, snacks and drinks and most every dad carries a sleeping child home afterwards.
