I just got home from picking up 32 bales of 70-80 pound bales of organic alfalfa/pasture hay from our local community college learning farm for $6 a bale. I figured it out to approximately $200/ton with my gas figured in...my husband wryly said that I should feed it to the rabbits so we could eat organic rabbit meat...which got me thinking. CAN you feed JUST hay to rabbits? Do some of you all do that? How COULD I make a hay diet work? Any and all thought out there appreciated. BTW, still looking for photos of dropnestbox cages.

you'll need some organic grain mix and if you have a garden they could use some organic veggie scraps too.
It will take forever to raise fryers on just hay and your litters might get pretty small with out grain.
