WOW...they have the most beautiful eyes! Copper/gold colored, very metallic.

This morning at the barn I happened to see a small bullfrog on the ground. Don't know why he let me pick him up, but he did and then he just sat calmly in my hand. Bullfrogs are such pretty creatures and those eyes just blew me away! After a few minutes admiring him I took him to the pond where he promptly buried all but those gorgeous eyes in the mud! :p

Thanks for sharing Ravenlost - I to have this strange respect for all living things and always try to find the beauty that is there for those willing to look for it. I get the strangest looks when I share with others my fondness for bats...they are warm fuzzies to me.

It's a treat to find beauty in unexpected placed isn't it!
All you have to do is take the time to look.

But the really important question is ...did you kiss it?
Could have been Prince Charming ya know! :D

Nah...I didn't kiss the bullfrog. Didn't ask if his name was Jeremiah either! I just thanked him for letting me admire his beauty and then put him in the pond.

MarleneS, we also enjoy our little brown bats. My husband and I like to sit at the pond in the evening and watch them swope over the water after the bugs.
