I'm curious what they are paying and where.
Haven't sold, just purchased. Scrapyard charges $1 pound - same as for stainless steel.
Florida= aluminum cans bring about $0.45/lb. I get $0.53 since I bring in a large load for a charity.
Just sold several bags of cans at $.40 lb
when I sold some a week or so back they were getting $.52 a lb if I recall correctly
.45 for cans, .40 for "dirty aluminum".
I'm about an hour and a half north of houston and I just got
60 cents for cans and 50 cents for other alum
I only got 30 cents per pound on Saturday.
Aluminum cans bring bring $1.40/lb +/- .10 here in California thanks to the CRV program. I think plastic bottles are around .45/lb.
I got 54 cents a pound this morning. there is a place that will pay 62 cents but its to far to drive.
keep track of the markets prices for everything worth anything here.
I was way off on the price for plastic bottles here. A local feed store gives .72/lb for #1 plastic which is basically any kind of drink container and 1.55/lb for aluminum cans bought in the state. Glass bottles are .08/lb.
1.55 for cans??
wow what state is that?
I might have to take a road trip..
Oh i see CA.. that would be a long drive..
