I'm curious what they are paying and where.

Haven't sold, just purchased. Scrapyard charges $1 pound - same as for stainless steel.

Florida= aluminum cans bring about $0.45/lb. I get $0.53 since I bring in a large load for a charity.

Aluminum cans bring bring $1.40/lb +/- .10 here in California thanks to the CRV program. I think plastic bottles are around .45/lb.

I was way off on the price for plastic bottles here. A local feed store gives .72/lb for #1 plastic which is basically any kind of drink container and 1.55/lb for aluminum cans bought in the state. Glass bottles are .08/lb.
