I know how to harden off seedlings before transplanting, but I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for hardening off several hundred of them? It's a lot of work to move that many in & out daily!
I'm not afraid of hard work - just trying to simplify things some!
I know several people who keep their young plants on wagons and move them in and out of a shelter with a tractor. They also keep sheets and frost cloths on hand to cover the plants inside the shelter if the temperature gets too cold.
I use a darkening mesh sold for gardening that goes over a frame. It cuts the sun and wind enough but in very hot sunny days I might have to cover with a tarp. I believe it is what is used to raise ginseng.
