Guinea pigsX rabbits

    Can A Guinea pig cross breed with A Rabbit??? As I heard about it can happen ,I never seen one but my nephew says it true. Anybody know??? I relieze that we are talking New world Versus Old world Animals. Thanks

    I would doubt it. Though if it were possible I would imagine it would be some sort of mule like creature ie., sterile. There are crosses of chickens and guineas, lions and tigers (liger or tion) as well as other man made oddities.

    I wouldn't think so. A guinea pig is a rodent and a bunny is a lagomorph. Different beasties.

    Not possible.

    The differences are two bizarre. Not only are dietary requirements totally different, but one is born ready to take in the world, the other useless for 4 weeks.

    As already said, one new wold, one old world. If anyone hasn't noticed, new world and old world things RARELY cross. I can think of only a few instances in a very few very primative organisms.

    They can try but you won't get anything. My male GP likes the male rabbits, but not the female rabbits. Stupid little thing.
