We are moving our pigs and goats to a new pasture on the rear of our property. I know that the goats will need some type of guard animal (we are thinking donkey), but do the pigs need one as well? I would figure yes, but dh was thinking that the boar is aggressive enough to protect himself and the girls.

I need some information and advice on this...thanks so much!

I don't worry about my pigs when they are out in the back pasture. We have coyotes and the occasional cougar and bear. The pigs can look out for themselves. I find the sows more aggressive than the boar...magnified 100x when they have piglets!!! We use a llama for the chicken pens when they are out of our view.
