growing cukes

    i just saw on a lik on the news page at yahoo, that NASA is planning on greenhouse on the moon and mars. and are researching ,in fact with the canadian govt. rasing lettuce cucumber, radishes and the like in special greenhouses built to withstand the rigors of outerspace,such as the spacestation and lunar type atmospheres.the target date is 2020 A.D.

    You think produce is high now, just wait till they get that stuff on the counters at Krogers.

    Oh my....what will they not try? At the expense of the taxpayer I'm sure. Oy!

    Yeah, it's a "waste" of our money, but at least this is a fun waste, compared to some of their other stupididty.
    I wonder if they give the plants artificial gravity. I would think roots would be mighty confused without it!!

    i would think that they would grow upside down so they can be watered.
