The responses to my other post got me to thinking. I intend to build a shed and have this gen-set inside, then run wire to the house. Should I drive a grounding rod and have my grounds going to that? Seems like a good idea.

Yes, you need a ground rod. The grounds for all of your individual circuits are connected to a ground bar in the service panel (breaker box). I would also make sure that you ground the frame of the generator to the rod.
