Grits with creamed cheese

    Yes, this combination works, plus a bit of sausage. That was todays breakfast. I am out of my usual sharp cheddar so I adapted, overcame, and became victorious. Well, thats what they told us to do in boot camp!

    What do you add to your grits?

    'Bout all I can say, Mitch, is they work great for getting rid of ant piles in the pasture! You can have all of my share of grits in this world. I never could aquire a taste for them! Great that you were inventive and used something that worked! Jan in CO

    I like em with fried eggs on top and a ton of butter. I like the yellow grits better than white, but they aren't easy to find.

    I add milk, cream corn (not canned, but frozen), and garlic to mine while the grits are cooking. Just before they finish cooking I stir in Pepper Jack cheese and sometimes some Cajun seasoning. We enjoy our grits cooked like this for breakfast sometimes but more so as a side dish with grilled chicken, steak, etc.
