grapes grapes and more grapes

    my grape vine is full of red fat grapes, when is a good time to pick them up, Iam in Pennsylvania, the land of wine, milk and honey.

    I always picked mine after the first frost. If they weren't ripe I covered them to keep them from frosting (at least what I could) for a while. The frost "sweetens" them. Don't let them freeze - just frost. You can probably pick anytime they are ripe.

    Thanks I think we got our first frost yesterday, they are sweet but they are hard to peal. This is the first time we get grapes from this vine, do you think they are going to be better with time, the next season?
