Scored a VERY old cast iron meat slicer. Got it home and tore it down this morning, slapped a new power cord on it, cleaned and re-packed all the bearings and plugged it in.....Purrs like a kitten. Made by American Slicing Company from Chicago circa 1920-1935. Thing is a BEAST and weighs over 100lbs. Ran some frozen meat through it just to see and provided I can keep "my" parts away from the cutting blade, this should make butchering those deer go much easier........Total cost (not counting my labor) $40.00...

Not bad at all considering a new one could run you way up in the hundreds. Even a used one can put you back a hundred or two.
