I have been reading through old fencing threads and I'm more confused now than when I started. I need to fence about half an acre for my two nubian dairy goats and I don't know if I should use electric or woven wire or what.

Somebody tell me what to do...

Red, just use woven wire for that size paddock. If you had extra money, then buy cattle panels. They are incredibly strong, portable, however more expensive. Last time I checked a 16 foot panel was $15.00 @Tractor supply.

I use electric and it works fine. It's a temporary pasture so if I were to put up a permanent fence I'd probaby go with woven and electric to keep the predators out and the goats in.
