I have some goats that I am going to worm-yes they need it. I was told to worm them for three days orally with safeguard for goats...does that sound right? 2 weigh 25 lbs and 1 about 20 lbs.

    Thanks

Are you sure it's 3 days and not 3 times (over a longer period)?

It's my understanding wormers kill the adult worms and you want to re-worm before the immature worms still in the goat mature and start producing eggs.

First off, are you sure Safeguard is effective in your area? A lot of places it just no longer works. If you're giving it, give 3 times the dose on the instructions and repeat 10-14 days later.

Safeguard can be safely used 5 days in a row if necessary.

Be sure it still works where you are before you waste your money and leave the goats wormy. Safeguard is no good here except for tapeworms. Are your goats kids or adults?? From the size it sounds like kids..??
