You may remember that I received 15 beautiful chicks from McMuray hatchery only to have one of our little dogs kill and likely eat them all!

I have been looking around for some hens that were a bit bigger and could fend a bit more for them selves and I found 5 hens and a rooster all about 17 weeks old and 70 miles from here. DD and I will go pick them up Thursday afternoon...I am quite excited!

Good luck, I cannot imagine living without chickens, they are awesome. It will not be long before you cannot stand store eggs.
