Found a reputable breeder 50 miles from me and am going to look tomorrow at some miniture La Manchas armed with the questions you folks helped answer a few days ago.

Got the Goat Gofer loaded in the truck and we hit the road at 7 am.

Now the real questions will begin.

What should I have on hand and what preperations do I need to make for my new animals. (probaboy and one 1 female, and her two kids, 1 boy and 1 girl.)

We would like to milk and I guess that means taking the kids away from the mom. Is that ok? should we possibly get a second female to keep mom company? What would be Ideal for a small heard of no more than 5. Is the male kid going to be a problem as he matures, I mean mating with mom and sis?

As long as they are in pens next to each other they will be fine. Have you thought about the cost of milk replacer ? It ain't cheap. If you wanted just milk I would buy Mom and another fresh one or even a dry one.

The male will breed both if given a chnace he will need to be neutered.
