About a month ago I bought several cans of sardines on sale and put them in the trunk. I forgot about them. Today I find them, bring them in the house and let them thaw. They have probably been frozen and thawed several times in the trunk. The cans look fine, but are these safe to eat?

They should be ok if they stayed sealed. The easy open cans would probably not stay sealed if they froze.I think I would feed them to the cats.

It depends. Are they in oil or mustard sauce. If in oil use them to bait your traps. If in mustard sauce serve with saltines, cheddar cheese and a tall beer.

These are in oil. What would be the difference? I'm not worried about losing these, but was thinking if they are ok, they would be a great food to keep in the truck with my blizzard kit.
