I know I can freeze tomatoes until I have enough to can (thanks Momof4!) but can I do the same with peas? I planted Ozark Razorback and they are coming off a little at a time and I wanted to can them for longer storage because we are about to put 2 hogs in the freezer!

Are you talking about "blackeye or cow peas or are you talking garden peas? I've studied up on garden peas this year and everyone tells me that they are by far better frozen than canned. This surprised me because we always canned they growing up. I ask mom about it the other day and was told they are much better frozen but we didn't have room in the freezer so we canned them.I've been living with this misunderstanding for 64 years! Learn something every day!
