Free the nipple

Meta is 'freeing the nipple' at its Oversight Board's recommendation that the ban on bare breasts violated 'human rights' of women, transgender and non-binary people.

The board's recommendation focused on Instagram's ban of two posts by a couple, one of whom is transgender and the other non-binary, who posed topless but covered their nipples to raise awareness around top surgery.

The board said that 'the [old] policy is based on a binary view of gender and a distinction between male and female bodies,' which makes rules about baring nipples 'unclear' for those who do not identify as women.

In other words, this is mostly about people with made up genders. Obviously the confusion lies with those who are gender confused.

Yeah, weirdos.
Aside from that...as long as it's an actual woman and she's reasonably attractive, I'm all for it.😊

I'm sure someone out there really felt oppressed, and I'm sure someone out there is just happy they can finally ditch their clothing in the most benign nudist sense possible. But let's be honest, mostly this is about amateur p0rn stars wanting to drive more traffic to their Only Fans page, and Meta agreeing to it because they're desperate to improve daily activity stats. It sure would be nice if they would just be honest about it.

The article I read said this was only for trans and non-bianary members.

Is that incorrect?
Nipple equality is something I’ve believed in for a long time. So glad to see it’s becoming reality.

Bah! Nipples are over-rated. It's what's behind them that's more important.

All this is more giving in to special interest BS....Who cares?
If I want to see nipples, there are a million places on the internet.

It is hypocritical to only allow men to show their nipples. That is the point being made. In fact, the majority of US states allow women to be topless in public where men can be topless.

Here a woman can go topless in public if they desire. Very few if any have.

There goes any advantage I had against women. I once beat a woman out of a corporate desk job because I was topless and she wasn't. I guess I just have to work harder at the next job interview.

I don't disagree but if the rule only applies to trans and non binary people, no ground was gained for women.

But can't a biologically born woman identify as non binary? Seriously asking because I get confused these days.

The rule does not apply to only trans and non binary. It was just the example that proved the hypocrisy. A nipple of a trans person could be posted before top surgery but not after. Pure hypocrisy.
