If anyone is near Rice Minnesota, (about 20 miles northwest of St. Cloud) There is 100 acres of potatos free for the digging. Apparently the farmer had a bumper crop and fullfilled his contract, and has no market for the spuds. The field is behind the hardware store on the east side of US hiway 10, right at the stoplight. I haven't been there, but I have this info from a trusted coworker who lives near there. I hope to get over there soon myself.
