Have a look at my daughter's new mixer. She tells the story of how she got it free from a newly aquired in-law. She made 9 loaves of delicious bread on Saturday and a huge batch of cookies yesterday. http://www.thereallifehome.blogspot.com/
i was lucky enough too pick one up this spring when the local restaurant changed owners, bit newer commercial hobart that had been used by the local baker till he closed up shop then the restaurant had bought it too make pizza dough! it has gone full circle, i lent it too the baker who now bakes bread and other tasty treats for the local farmers market!! needs a new dough hook though!
6 kids consume a couple of loaves at a meal. So yes, it is a real timesaver.
I got a call from my grandaughter (14 yrs) yesterday about 5 pm. She and younger brother were left with the bread to bake, while mom took the littles to Highland dance class. It was shaped and risen, but what temperature? So now everybody is getting into the act.
