Will a barb wire fence hold goats or do you have to have net wire?

Barb Wire and goats do not mix. Unless you have a few layers of electric to stop them.

Goats will walk right through barbwire. You need good sturdy field fencing, at least 4 ft tall, good corner posts and t-posts. that's what we use anyways. goats are escape artists. Besides, you want it dog and coyote proof. Neighborhood dogs will ravage a goat herd any chance they get. Some folks use hotwire, we don't.
