We have a left over 4H pig that we have been trying to sell for over a month. He has to be closing in on 400 lbs - was 300 lbs in mid August. He is a really long, tall pig so not overly fat - just big. We think we finally have him sold but can't get a butcher date until mid-November. We really don't want to put more money into him - we have been feeding him a cheaper all stock feed after the other pigs left for the fair. We are currently milking some goats and have an offer of some free wheat - so I am thinking of soaking the wheat with milk since we don't have a mill. I would really just like to hold him at his current weight - not put any more on him. I have never fed soaked wheat to pigs - so wondering how much we should feed to hold him, do we need to add anything else - he is very healthy.
