Do any of you go to the farmer's markets? If so, do you take bread and are you successful with it? We went to one just as customers over the weekend in Traverse City Michigan and bread ranged $4 a loaf to $6 a loaf. Depending on vendor. Big cinnamon rolls were $2. And it didn't seem they were having any trouble selling but thought I would ask y'all.

There was also an Amish gentlemen there selling chicken. $9.00 a pound for chicken breast.

We have 2 bakers at our farmer's market. One makes a LOT of breads, rolls & cookies. The other makes cookies, cakes, brownies, et al.

They both do wonderfully well. The bread baker is constantly sold out in a couple hours.

Check with your local health department about what is needed to sell breads at a farmer's market - some require baking in a certified kitchen with a license.
