Don't worry, it's a video game. It's storyline is that a nuclear TEOTHAWKI has occured and your trying to survive with raiders, supermutants, zombies, slavers, radiation all trying to get you. This game is awesome!!!!! You make weapons out of junk, have to decontaminate radiated food/water. I know it's not really prepping, but it's alot of fun. I thought maybe it would be a good way to get some of your older teenagers (who are gamers) thinking about what could happen and be more supportive of real prepping.

Very good descriptions of the game. I played Fallout 1 & 2 when they came out in the late 90s. Very good games, but yes, very mature themes. I'm a big fan of the series.

If you are looking for games that are S&EP related, there is a computer game I remember that came out in the 90s called Robinson's Requiem. Your character (Robinson?) is marooned on a planet & has to survive using an emergency kit. All water has to be treated, you have to find shelter, warm clothes, food, medicines, ammo etc. I remember it being very realistic as far as survival...you have to worry about broken limbs, disease, first aid, etc. Unfortunately, it is also very difficult to play as there are so many ways to die, but it was one of the most realistic I remember playing.
