How do I work with .eps vector files? What programs do I need. I have Gimp which I was told I could use to edit the layers in eps files but it doesn't seem to able too. So I went to Gimp's plug in page but there seems to be a gazillion of them so I do not know which plug in to choose.

I can check the plugin for Gimp as I'm not sure of it, but as far as viewing, printing. etc of Encapsulated Postscript (.eps) files I recommend GhostScript.

Adobe Illustrator or corel draw will open a eps file.
