Edible cotton breakthrough may help feed the world

    Very interesting, I don't trust the GM business at all, but I feed my goats a feed with cottonseed meal in it, and it is labled "for ruminants only" always kinda wondered what that was about. However, the chickens and rabbits always get into it too, but I have not noticed any ill effects...mmm

    Wasn't there something about this in the book Catch-22 where this one guy was trying to sell everyone chocolate covered cotton?

    Doesn't sound very appitizing to me, but then I can't stand tofu either...

    Yes, because the real root cause of world hunger is the lack of edible cottonseeds, rather than the ways that we've destroyed local agricultures and extracted wealth from poor nations. And of course, we can rely on the people who created the problem to fix it.

    Sheesh.
